The launch of Nūvo Car INC.

ATHENA has been working for the past 6 months at preparing the launch of a new spinoff that follows our motto: « Sustaining Mobility at every level ».

Nūvo Car is the first player to introduce cryogenic cleaning coupled with corrosion inhibiting protection of automobile undercarriages in the province of Québec. The process uses reclaimed CO2 turned into ice pellets that is blasted at high speeds onto contaminated surfaces. We then spray the complete undercarriage with a high performance Dinitrol corrosion inhibiting protection.

Cryogenic cleaning (or commonly known as dry-ice cleaning) is the only cleaning method that is safe and environmentally friendly for your vehicle because it doesn't require any abrasives, liquids (no water used) nor any chemical agents. It uses the sublimation power of CO2 dry-ice to extract all types of surface contaminants such as dirt, salt, grease, tar, surface rust and more. It is gentle on all metals as well as on polymers, elastomers, glass, leather, wood and fabrics.

Now, where does this fit into our motto? Well, quite well actually!

To counter the excessive cyclic purchases of new personal cars, ATHENA reasoned that it makes more sense financially and environmentally to keep your vehicle in prime condition for as long as you can. Instead of trading a cheap (« highly-degradable ») car for a new one every 3 to 4 years, why not purchase a high quality slightly used one and keep it for 8 to 10 years instead through regular cryogenic treatments. That would limit the excessive generation of billions of tons of GHGs used in the production of new personal vehicles every year.
